Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Elixir and Python.
- Build and support early-stage and mature production systems powering the imaging data platform.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term platform strategy.
- Own projects from concept through deployment and ongoing support.
- Lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision and mentor engineers.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, development standards, and scalable processes.
- Identify and implement improvements to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the engineering stack.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Production application development and deployment experience using Elixir and/or Python.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Experience developing and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
- Ability to independently drive projects and manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Healthcare technology, health data, medical imaging, regulated environments, data-intensive applications, APIs, or large-scale platform experience is preferred.
- Previous engineering mentorship or technical leadership experience is preferred.
