Responsibilities
- Develop and support Linux kernel features for Android on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets.
- Work on ARMv9 CPUs and related processor features.
- Analyze power and performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Enable and support teams using Linux kernel features.
- Identify and support tools for Linux kernel development, debugging, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on system-level software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field with 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 1+ year or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 3–5 years of software engineering or related work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of operating system fundamentals, data structures, the Linux kernel, and the device driver model.
- Expert-level C programming skills.
- Experience with one or more kernel subsystems, such as core kernel, device drivers, memory, SMMU, or ARM subsystems.
- Advanced debugging and crash analysis skills using tools such as T32, gdb, and crash utility.
- Experience using tracing and related tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with development tools including toolchains and version control systems.
- Android experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or ECE.
