Responsibilities
- Secure Apple’s large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure and next-generation Kubernetes platforms.
- Design and implement Kubernetes security tooling, frameworks, controls, and platform-level solutions.
- Develop software in Go and scripts in Python for production environments at scale.
- Collaborate with ASE Security, Platform SREs, and developers to drive adoption of security initiatives.
- Independently lead ambiguous and complex security initiatives.
- Document work and communicate security initiatives effectively.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Extensive experience designing Kubernetes security solutions for platform-level security issues.
- Software development skills in Go and scripting experience in Python.
- Experience running code at scale in production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with relevant Kubernetes security technologies such as OPA, SPIFFE/SPIRE, SELinux, Seccomp, eBPF, Splunk, Flux, Argo CD, Syft, Grype, containerd, Notary, Cosign, Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Pod Security Admission, kube-bench, Falco, Cilium, and controller-runtime is preferred.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKS, CKAD, or CKA are preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI to accelerate work and approach new problems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
