Software Engineer Internship – Metadata Enablement Team

Responsibilities
- Develop automation solutions and tooling to improve metadata collection, enrichment, and management.
- Support the design and enhancement of data product publishing workflows.
- Build reporting and monitoring capabilities for metadata completeness, quality, and adoption.
- Create prototypes and lightweight integrations between data platforms and metadata services.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, business stakeholders, and data professionals on automation and innovation opportunities.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Have experience or exposure to software development technologies including Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, .NET, or SQL.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally across technical and non-technical teams.
- Show proficiency with Microsoft Office products and collaboration tools.
- Preferred: previous internship, co-op, or campus leadership experience.
- Preferred: experience with scripting, automation, or API integrations.
- Preferred: familiarity with data management, data engineering, metadata concepts, cloud platforms, databases, or data pipelines.
- Preferred: awareness of secure coding practices and responsible handling of sensitive or regulated data.
