Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test C++ computer applications on Microsoft .NET platforms and Windows-based systems.
- Work with project and technical teams to design, develop, test, and deploy automated guided vehicle systems.
- Research, design, and develop computer systems-level and network-distribution software for AGV applications.
- Author and review operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements.
- Understand, modify, and support existing C++ applications.
- Assist with production and review of internal and external product and project documentation.
- Meet project timelines and budget objectives and support related product and project goals.
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning and on-site engineering tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required.
- 5+ years of C, C++, and .NET development experience.
- 2+ years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience.
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows 7/8 and Windows Server 2008/2012.
- Good working knowledge of current Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to travel up to 20% annually and work occasional extended, off-shift, weekend, or holiday hours.
- Industrial automation experience with PLC or OPC is preferred.
- Microsoft .NET and database certifications are strongly preferred.
