Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable, resilient, and maintainable backend applications using Java.
- Build and maintain Quarkus-based microservices and cloud-native distributed architectures.
- Develop and maintain Angular frontend solutions as needed across the application stack.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using AWS SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Implement observability practices covering logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical decisions, code reviews, automation, and engineering productivity initiatives.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or developer copilots.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with a strong backend development focus.
- Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience developing production-grade applications.
- Solid experience with Quarkus and Angular.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with AWS, particularly SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway.
- Experience designing and developing microservices and distributed architectures.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and cloud-based application development.
- Experience with observability practices including metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Practical experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor or developer copilots.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate English level.
- Experience with reactive programming, particularly Mutiny or Project Reactor, is preferred.
- Experience with financial markets, investment banking, or financial systems is preferred.
- Experience building highly scalable and resilient cloud applications is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development practices and tools is preferred.
