Base Salary
$146k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based web applications and platform services.
- Build front-end and server-side components using Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Design and implement APIs and microservices supporting enterprise SaaS applications.
- Build and maintain AI-powered features including LLM integrations, RAG, semantic search, prompt orchestration, workflow automation, and AI agents.
- Evaluate and use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality, security, testing, and maintainability.
- Work across browsers, APIs, application services, databases, cloud infrastructure, and third-party libraries to resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to core platform infrastructure services and improve application architecture, performance, scalability, observability, security, and development processes.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and reduce regression defects and technical debt.
- Write unit, integration, and API automation tests and troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX, QA, DevOps, Security, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise Java-based web applications.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, APIs, microservices, and MVC architecture.
- Strong SQL experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and query optimization.
- Experience with Agile software development environments, test-driven development, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality practices.
- Experience integrating LLMs using OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Experience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, MCP, tool calling, and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Understanding of responsible AI, prompt security, data privacy, AI governance, and AI evaluation methodologies.
- Preferred experience with private and public cloud deployments, platform tooling, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, infrastructure as code, CI/CD tools, monitoring, observability, Bash, Python, PowerShell, and distributed-system troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, software quality, scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence skills.
Benefits
- Hybrid work model requiring three days per week in the office.
- Base pay range of $145,600 to $209,300, with potential eligibility for performance-based bonuses and restricted stock unit awards.
