Responsibilities
- Define and drive embedded software architecture and requirements aligned with technical, regulatory, lifecycle, and organizational needs.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate internal and external development and test teams, including distributed multi-location teams.
- Develop robust, high-quality C++ software on QNX while maintaining harmonization and quality standards.
- Implement and optimize AI-driven development workflows, including agent environments, context engineering, MCP, and HIL integration.
- Drive CI/CD adoption for builds, testing, documentation, and reporting while maintaining software quality processes.
- Oversee the full development lifecycle from requirements through validation and ensure documentation and contractual compliance.
- Contribute to intellectual property and patent activities and collaborate across functional domains.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience and 2 years of technical leadership experience.
- Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- Fluent English and intermediate German.
- Strong experience designing embedded-system architectures, especially with QNX.
- Hands-on experience developing C++ applications on QNX.
- Experience leading distributed, multi-location software teams.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development tools and with CMake, Conan, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including feature-driven development and time-boxing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and motivate teams.
- Preferred: experience in regulated medical, automotive, or aerospace industries; familiarity with medical software, gRPC, hardware drivers, or FPGA technology.
