Base Salary
$158k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Prototype, evaluate, and iterate on perception algorithms using real-world data and simulation.
- Develop 3D detection, traffic-agent tracking, and semantic understanding for self-driving vehicles.
- Formulate practical solutions based on research insights in deep learning, computer vision, and autonomous driving.
- Support productization and deployment of perception algorithms by collaborating with platform teams.
- Write high-quality, well-structured, efficient, and tested code.
- Collaborate on perception, motion forecasting, planning, traffic modeling, sensor simulation, and unified self-driving platform development.
- Work with large datasets and the Waabi World high-fidelity simulator.
- Stay current with artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and self-driving research, and contribute to publications.
Requirements
- MS/PhD or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a similar technical field; bachelor’s degree candidates need at least four years of industry experience.
- Experience with applied research projects and shipping machine-learning features or models into production.
- Experience with 3D detection, traffic-agent tracking, and/or semantic understanding of traffic scenes.
- Strong understanding of computing fundamentals, code efficiency, machine learning, computer vision literature, and current state-of-the-art techniques.
- Proficiency in Python with an emphasis on high-quality, structured, and tested code.
- Experience working with large datasets for machine-learning applications.
- Bonus experience includes multimodal sensor fusion, self-driving technology, platform and research-team collaboration, and deep-learning model implementation and validation.
- Publications in top-tier computer vision, machine learning, or robotics conferences or journals are a plus.
- Proficiency in PyTorch, Rust, C++, and/or CUDA is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to contribute in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
