Base Salary
$82k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work within the defined software lifecycle development process.
- Understand requirements and participate in software design reviews.
- Create software design documentation and implement code according to standards.
- Write tests, validate software, debug code, and contribute to process improvement.
- Support algorithm design based on detailed software requirements.
- Collaborate with multiple software development teams and reuse developed software across programs.
- Deliver work according to completion dates, project schedules, and budgets.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
- Contribute to software design, coding, documentation, and testing using the Scrum framework.
- Build productive internal and external working relationships while working under moderate supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Windows or Linux application software development.
- Object-oriented design experience and expertise in C#/.NET, Java, C++, and/or Web UI.
- Experience writing unit tests, debugging code, and working with formal software lifecycle development processes.
- Experience with Agile software development process management.
- Mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with source code configuration management tools such as SVN and Git, as well as IDEs and debuggers.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, databases, operating systems, system design, and basic networking.
- Preferred advanced degree or experience with Android, iOS, React/Redux, FitNesse, UAS, drones, or robotics.
- Willingness to travel locally occasionally.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or be eligible for an export license; some positions require current U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
