Responsibilities
- Lead domain-driven design, facilitate domain modelling, define bounded contexts, and maintain shared domain models.
- Define and maintain the target architecture for Altium 365 across all deployment environments.
- Guide API strategy, integrations, the Developer Center, and partner-built vertical solutions.
- Shape how AI agents interact with Altium data, including MCP, authentication, scopes, and security.
- Advise engineering teams, own cross-cutting architecture decisions and ADRs, and promote consistent architectural patterns.
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept, review designs, mentor engineers, and contribute hands-on to the codebase.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including substantial experience architecting a large cloud platform.
- Practical domain-driven design and model-first experience, including introducing these approaches to other teams.
- Strong C#/.NET skills or another modern language with willingness to work in C# and prototype quickly.
- Experience building multi-tenant, multi-region SaaS products.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with distributed systems, data storage, OAuth, and OIDC.
- Strong API design judgment covering versioning, compatibility, and schema evolution.
- Ability to understand complex systems, work with incomplete information, and influence teams across geographies and languages.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and disciplined review of their output.
- Preferred: GraphQL and federation, MCP, LLM-based tools, agentic systems, government or sovereign cloud, China deployments, SaaS and on-premises delivery, AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, EDA, PCB design tools, or the electronics industry.
