Responsibilities
- Turn ambiguous AI/ML problems into practical technical approaches and executable engineering work.
- Break down complex initiatives into technical components, dependencies, and implementation plans.
- Guide trade-offs across data, models, systems, quality, reliability, complexity, cost, and performance.
- Provide technical leadership and direction while resolving complex challenges with engineering, data science, product, and domain teams.
- Establish practices and patterns that make AI/ML systems reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
Requirements
- Relevant degree.
- Significant experience building real-world AI, ML, or data products.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML systems from data and modeling through production.
- Experience taking initiatives from uncertain or early-stage ideas through working solutions.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, particularly in Python.
- Experience with data-intensive or time-series systems.
- Ability to reason about system design, dependencies, scalability, reliability, and operational constraints.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with engineers, data scientists, product teams, and domain experts.
