Responsibilities
- Lead the L4 Support Squad, including escalation processes, resolution standards, and feedback loops for root-cause resolution.
- Define and maintain production observability, monitoring, alerting, incident triage, and support standards across the Unified Trial Solution.
- Own production health metrics covering system reliability, error rates, and support volume across UTS products.
- Build and maintain engineering intelligence dashboards showing delivery health, quality signals, AI adoption, and team performance.
- Own engineering metrics tooling and standards involving Jira, GitHub, and Jellyfish or equivalent platforms.
- Measure and report AI-assisted development adoption, code-generation patterns, and quality outcomes across teams.
- Maintain the UTS delivery success register and operational calendar, including reviews, reporting cadences, governance checkpoints, and coordination.
- Surface delivery risks, blockers, and commitment drift to engineering leadership and maintain effective cross-team communications.
- Lead special projects involving regulated transformations, platform transitions, data migrations, customer onboarding, testing capability, and operational readiness.
- Establish sustainable ownership, governance, ways of working, and handover processes for challenged initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of building and shipping production systems.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams or cross-cutting engineering functions such as support, platform, or operations.
- Working proficiency in at least one core stack: React or React Native, Node.js or Java, and AWS.
- Demonstrated ownership of production support and observability standards, including escalation, resolution, monitoring, alerting, and root-cause feedback processes.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar.
- Experience building delivery and quality reporting from engineering tooling such as Jira, GitHub, and Jellyfish or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through professional experience.
- Strong practical understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe delivery frameworks.
- Preferred experience leading platform transitions, data migrations, or customer onboarding in regulated environments.
- Preferred experience with healthcare, clinical trial, clinical research, GxP, SaMD validation, regulated software development, and clinical study platform release management.
- Contributions to open-source projects or visible technical thought leadership are desirable.
