Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, debugging, and maintenance of Windows kernel-mode and user-mode networking components.
- Design and optimize Windows network drivers and WFP solutions for high-speed, high-throughput, scalable, reliable, and low-latency systems.
- Investigate and resolve kernel, networking, performance, compatibility, interoperability, and security-related issues, including BSODs, race conditions, deadlocks, memory corruption, and leaks.
- Drive root-cause analysis through implementation, validation, and production deployment while collaborating across engineering teams.
- Contribute to Windows-specific and cross-platform architecture, interface design, and integration with higher-level products.
- Maintain and improve the Kernel Team’s codebase, drivers, and components and resolve defects and technical issues.
- Perform reverse engineering and low-level analysis with security analysts, malware researchers, and reverse engineers.
- Use debugging, tracing, profiling, and crash-dump analysis tools to troubleshoot and optimize system behavior.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for development, code analysis, debugging, reverse engineering, investigation, trace and log analysis, and technical research.
- Provide technical leadership by decomposing work, assigning tasks, coordinating distributed developers, and supporting delivery across locations.
- Share expertise through technical discussions, code reviews, and documentation, and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and critical issues to the Kernel Team Director of Development.
Requirements
