Responsibilities
- Perform engineering and administration duties for Hadoop, Spark, HBase, and other Big Data platforms.
- Manage AWS Big Data clusters and develop automation tools to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Write, test, deploy, and validate maintainable software solutions using Python, Java, and related technologies.
- Build front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, and develop back-end services with API design and integration.
- Apply Generative AI, LLMs, and related frameworks to development, testing, automation, and productivity initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with Big Data technologies including Hadoop and Spark.
- Expertise in Python or Java and strong software engineering and coding skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, GCP, and Databricks.
- Experience with AWS Big Data services such as EMR and cloud fundamentals including networking, IAM/security, and observability.
- Experience with front-end and back-end development, computer science fundamentals, and data structures.
- Experience using Generative AI, LLMs, and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph in development and testing workflows.
- Working knowledge of Linux fundamentals and system concepts including CPU, memory, storage, and networking.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch is preferred.
