Senior Lead Software Engineer (AI, Data, Cloud)

- Write primarily Python production code and own delivery from design through production operations.
- Lead architecture for ML platform components covering data transformation, feature management, orchestration, and model serving.
- Design and develop agentic AI capabilities with production evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Build reusable APIs, SDKs, and reference implementations for platform adoption.
- Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to define technical approaches and deliver outcomes.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency through monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted engineering practices covering correctness, performance, security, and reuse.
- Create architecture and design documentation aligned with enterprise standards.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, and pairing.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and emerging-technology events.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for distributed systems and platform services.
- Strong Python expertise, including building and maintaining APIs and SDKs and leading design and code reviews.
- Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code and with establishing validation and quality practices.
- Experience delivering generative AI platforms using LLM orchestration and agentic AI frameworks with production evaluation and monitoring.
- Practical experience with AWS, containerized platforms such as EKS or ECS, and Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code.
- Required experience building and operating Databricks data and ML workloads, including pipelines, notebooks or jobs, Delta or feature datasets, and ML workflow integration.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, agile delivery, CI/CD, and modern engineering quality controls.
- Strong communication skills with business-facing and technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience integrating data engineering, feature management, and model serving into ML platforms.
- Preferred: knowledge of AI/ML model integration, context engineering, and MCP-style tool or function integration.
- Preferred: exposure to Snowflake, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Datadog, and AWS certifications.
