Responsibilities
- Build and operate the internal developer platform with paved paths, golden templates, and self-service capabilities.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
- Own platform stability, availability, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, resilience, and disaster recovery against a 99.99% uptime target.
- Drive Azure cloud cost optimisation, cost visibility, tagging, attribution, and accountability.
- Run GitOps-based Kubernetes delivery with FluxCD and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for reliable releases and rollbacks.
- Package and standardise workloads with Docker and Kubernetes across environments.
- Improve platform observability through metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and OpenTelemetry-based practices.
- Reduce operational noise, lead blameless post-incident reviews, provide Level 2/3 support, and implement permanent fixes.
- Partner with product engineering teams to incorporate security, performance, scalability, reliability, and cost considerations into delivery.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on expertise with FluxCD, Terraform, Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Experience operating highly available production systems and meeting availability targets such as 99.99%.
- Experience with Azure cloud cost management and optimisation.
- Knowledge of cloud security, GitOps tooling, ArgoCD, OpenTelemetry, PowerShell, Site Reliability Engineering practices, or FinOps is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, communication, prioritisation, and incident-management skills.
- Candidates must have the appropriate rights and documentation for employment in India.
