Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own ideation, architecture, engineering, quality assurance, release, and ongoing support for P&C insurance applications and platforms.
- Design and enforce modular, scalable, reusable, secure solution architectures and software engineering practices.
- Contribute to hands-on design, development, technical problem-solving, and code reviews.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, and QA teams.
- Partner with product owners, solution architects, business leads, and engineering peers to refine requirements and align solutions with technology strategy.
- Direct project planning, estimation, resource allocation, sprint and release tracking, and delivery communications.
- Champion automation, test quality, delivery pipelines, and continuous improvement practices.
- Identify delivery risks and impediments, develop mitigation strategies, and adjust scope or priorities as needed.
- Apply P&C insurance knowledge to underwriting, claims, billing, and insurance operations solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including hands-on full-stack development and enterprise-scale delivery leadership.
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead or Delivery Lead managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex systems or platforms.
- Expertise with modern backend, frontend, cloud, API, and database technologies, including .NET, Node.js, Angular, React, Vue.js, AWS, Azure, GCP, GraphQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong experience designing application, solution, and integration architectures.
- Significant P&C insurance experience involving policy, claims, billing, or underwriting workflows.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code, test-driven development, automated QA, and modern delivery pipelines.
- Strong communication, executive presence, stakeholder management, mentoring, and team-development skills.
- Preferred experience includes large-scale insurance or financial-services digital transformation, Insurtech or core insurance platforms, Agile at scale, distributed delivery models, and AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture certifications.
