Responsibilities
- Design and optimize high-throughput order-execution systems with sub-millisecond latency targets.
- Build real-time market-data pipelines aggregating order books and price feeds from multiple exchanges.
- Implement position tracking with exchange reconciliation, risk limits, and multi-account support.
- Develop exchange connectivity using FIX 5.0+, WebSocket, and HTTP/2.
- Profile and eliminate latency hotspots using garbage-free coding and lock-free concurrency.
- Implement pre-trade risk controls, circuit breakers, and rate limiters.
Requirements
- Solid STEM education background.
- 5–8 years of software development experience, preferably with trading, order-management, or latency-sensitive systems.
- Strong Java 17+ proficiency and understanding of JVM internals and garbage-collection behavior.
- Hands-on experience with FIX 5.0+, WebSocket, and HTTP/2 protocols.
- Strong multithreaded programming and concurrent-systems knowledge.
- Understanding of order lifecycle and market-microstructure basics.
- Cryptocurrency or digital-assets experience, including crypto exchange APIs, DeFi, or blockchain trading, is preferred.
- Experience with execution algorithms such as TWAP, VWAP, iceberg, sniper, or smart order-routing strategies is preferred.
- Experience with Aeron, Chronicle Queue, or shared-memory messaging is preferred.
- Proficiency in or strong interest in Rust is preferred.
- Experience with Agrona Collections, Protocol Buffers, or SBE is preferred.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Netty, Vert.x, timeseries databases, Redis, or etcd is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independence, and attention to detail.
