Base Salary
$174k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize infrastructure for LLM, multimodal, and agentic research, including training and inference pipelines, dataset curation, and large-scale preprocessing.
- Design, train, and evaluate multimodal vision-language models and agentic workflows involving tool use, planning, and long-horizon tasks.
- Scope and lead research projects and prioritize high-impact experiments.
- Apply strong software engineering practices to research and bridge cutting-edge work to production-quality products.
- Contribute to the open-source community through model releases, datasets, public APIs, and technical reports.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of industry experience, including 4 or more years of ML infrastructure experience covering preprocessing, training, evaluation, inference, and deployment.
- End-to-end model development experience, including dataset construction, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, profiling, and monitoring.
- Experience with LLM architectures such as mixture-of-experts and long-context models, as well as vision-language models such as Molmo and LLaVA.
- Knowledge of agentic systems, including tools, memory, and long-running workflows.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building performant, scalable systems and debugging confidently.
- Proficiency in Python and a major ML framework such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with cloud and containerization technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Docker.
- BS or MSc in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
