Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, configuration, enhancement, and support of SCADA/MES applications using Ignition and Sepasoft.
- Develop and maintain Ignition Perspective screens, views, components, and application functionality for manufacturing operations.
- Develop and support Sepasoft MES applications, including Batch, Document Management, OEE, and Settings & Changeover.
- Develop manufacturing applications using Python/Jython and Microsoft SQL Server scripting and database fundamentals.
- Support enterprise-to-site MES architectures and deploy and configure site-level MES functionality.
- Integrate SCADA/MES applications with PLCs, ERP systems, quality systems, databases, APIs, historians, AMRs, and other manufacturing technologies.
- Support MQTT-based data collection, Unified Namespace architectures, HighByte solutions, GE Historian, and TimeBase Historian.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide hands-on production and off-shift support.
- Lead technical projects and cross-functional workstreams and establish application development, architecture, documentation, and support standards.
- Review technical solutions, provide technical direction, and coach and mentor developers and other technical resources.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, controls, quality, Digital Technology, and business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
- Support application testing, implementations, upgrades, continuous improvement, deployment planning, recovery procedures, and on-site manufacturing support.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing or supporting SCADA, MES, manufacturing applications, industrial software, or related technology.
- Demonstrated development and production support experience with Ignition.
- Experience developing in Ignition using Python/Jython and working with SQL Server databases and scripting.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex production system issues.
- Ability to lead technical solutions and provide technical direction to developers or other technical resources.
- Experience working with manufacturing, engineering, controls, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach developers and technical resources.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing facilities and provide occasional off-shift support.
- Preferred experience with Sepasoft modules, HighByte, Unified Namespace, MQTT, Sparkplug, GE Historian, TimeBase Historian, PLCs, industrial automation, AMRs, VDA 5050, REST APIs, JSON, web services, GitHub, automated deployment, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, high availability, backup/recovery, or disaster recovery.
- Manufacturing experience, particularly in assembly operations, and experience with fabrication or paint are beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Benefits
- Base pay range is $103,300.00-$177,700.00 across U.S. locations, with individual pay determined by scope, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
