Base Salary

$125k - $172k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution design for complex Workday initiatives with ambiguous or incomplete requirements.
  • Translate business needs into architecture diagrams, data flow models, technical specifications, and scalable solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Workday integrations, Orchestrate workflows, reports, APIs, Extend applications, agent builders, and data lake solutions.
  • Implement secure integration patterns using OAuth, SAML, and other authentication standards.
  • Re-architect and rebuild integrations to modernize the SNC technology stack.
  • Perform monitoring, performance management, break-fix triage, and troubleshooting across the Workday integration landscape.
  • Maintain technical documentation including specifications, runbooks, and architecture decision records.
  • Partner with the Workday Product Owner and business stakeholders to gather requirements, lead technical discussions, and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Improve integration methodologies, development standards, team practices, and AI/LLM opportunities in HR technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or relevant experience; without a degree, 10 years of related experience is required.
  • 6+ years of overall experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on Workday technical experience.
  • Deep expertise in Workday integration development, security, reports, and business processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Workday Orchestrate and Workday certification in Orchestrate or Integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Business Processes, Security Configuration, Workday Report Writer, RaaS, WQL, and Workday Extend applications.
  • Experience using AI or agents to enhance development.
  • Strong command of XML, SQL, JSON, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL in enterprise integration environments.
  • Familiarity with middleware or iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft and data platforms such as Snowflake or Power BI.
  • Understanding of OAuth, SAML, and related security and authentication protocols.
  • Experience with integration testing, release management, operational best practices, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to design solutions under ambiguous or incomplete requirements and communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
  • Preferred qualifications include Workday Extend or related certifications, Workday Prism Analytics or Data Cloud experience, AI/LLM integration exposure, global HR and payroll knowledge, and experience in an embedded product, Workday services, HRIS, or IT environment.
