Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and large-scale systems that reliably handle billions of money movement requests.
  • Debug and resolve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
  • Extend the balance management platform and build a funds accessibility platform for enterprise and SMB users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver features at scale and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Work effectively in a distributed and hybrid team.

Requirements

  • 2–12+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
  • Strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language-agnostic.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across team workstreams and support peers’ success.
  • Ability to work autonomously with substantial responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Interest in generalist backend engineering across varying technologies and stacks.
  • Preferred: experience with large-scale financial tracking systems.
  • Preferred: practical knowledge of cloud-based services, including gRPC, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
