Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery, design, implementation, delivery sign-off, and post-release support.
- Build working prototypes, complex features, integrations, and production code for modern retail platform stacks.
- Lead Discovery and Delivery Tracks, including feasibility validation, backlog decomposition, and preservation of design intent and non-functional requirements.
- Create technical designs including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
- Serve as the primary technical lead in client engagements by facilitating workshops, presenting solutions, making trade-off decisions, and driving approvals.
- Apply AI-assisted workflows for design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, documentation, and automated validation.
- Review and approve implementation deliverables while reinforcing standards for security, scalability, observability, code quality, and reusable integrations.
- Mentor and upskill engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and example-driven leadership.
- Contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk analysis, and technical investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping experience with modern technology stacks.
- At least 8 years of experience building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems using Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript with React or Vue.
- Experience owning medium-to-large solutions through design, implementation, delivery, and post-release operations.
- Experience with REST/OpenAPI, messaging platforms, relational and non-relational databases, CI/CD, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Practical experience using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
- Strong stakeholder communication, client workshop facilitation, technical presentation, mentoring, code review, and engineering leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include retail platform knowledge, relevant Azure or cloud certifications, Dual-Track Agile leadership, platform strategy experience, API-first design experience, and expertise with formal or machine-readable specifications such as OpenAPI, UML+OCL, or TLA+.
