Responsibilities
- Provide cloud security expertise, industry best-practice guidance, and defense-in-depth strategies.
- Deploy and enforce security and operational controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Partner with functional teams and stakeholders to resolve security-related configuration issues.
- Perform technical risk assessments and validate that technology solutions meet secure architecture requirements.
- Assess the impact of security deficiencies, communicate risks, and recommend configuration or supporting solutions to mitigate them.
- Support security strategy and implementation initiatives while protecting company intellectual property and customer data.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience implementing security solutions.
- Strong cybersecurity background with knowledge of cyber threat vectors and countermeasures.
- Understanding of Linux/Unix, Windows, cloud infrastructure, cloud security, networking, and host and network security.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies including antivirus and antimalware, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanning, DLP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
- Strong experience with scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, HITRUST, and ISO, plus audit methodologies and processes.
- Experience working with virtual teams in a global environment and strong communication, presentation, partnership, and leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include vulnerability management program experience, container-based architecture experience, and security or cloud certifications.
