Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of a product area and define reusable agentic engineering patterns across multiple teams.
- Set standards for specifications, review gates, agent delegation, verification, and safe integration of agent-produced work.
- Establish security architecture, data-flow boundaries, access controls, threat models, guardrails, and readiness criteria for agentic work.
- Build agentic scaffolding including prompts, agent instructions, repository conventions, test harnesses, and playbooks.
- Coordinate human and agentic contributors across teams and resolve high-risk technical decisions.
- Partner with product leadership on roadmap direction and mentor engineers across teams.
- Define testing, evaluation, observability, release, rollout, and rollback standards for production software.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including building and shipping customer-facing software in production and owning technical direction across a product area.
- A track record of setting reusable agent patterns and AI-powered solutions adopted by multiple teams.
- Depth in system, data model, and architecture design, including performance and data-flow tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to define specification standards, review gates, agent workflows, and context engineering practices across teams.
- Experience with security and privacy review standards covering injection, data handling, and unsafe generated output.
- Fluency in test design, evaluation standards, version-control coordination, CI/CD, feature flags, staged rollouts, rollback, observability, metrics, traces, and incident response.
- Ability to read unfamiliar code, perform root-cause analysis, coordinate multi-team technical work, mentor engineers, and communicate strategy and tradeoffs to leadership.
