
Software Engineer II
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Build and enhance model registries, feature registries, promotion policies, and governance tooling.
- Design and deliver services for data preparation, annotation workflows, lineage, and auditability.
- Develop cloud-native microservices and APIs for scalable model delivery and operations.
- Create LLM-powered capabilities using prompt design, agent workflows, tool integration, and retrieval.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts that meet performance, resiliency, and security constraints.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools and validate outputs through reviews, testing, and secure coding.
- Analyze telemetry and user feedback, build reporting and metrics, and improve code health, observability, and platform architecture.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Experience with microservices, reactive architectures, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience developing and deploying LLM-powered solutions using prompt design, agent workflows, tool integration, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Programming experience in at least two modern languages or frameworks, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, React, or Node.js.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and tuning performance in large-scale applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms and Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or Cassandra.
- Experience with refactoring, design patterns, test-driven development, continuous integration and delivery, and application security.
- Hands-on experience with approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Preferred experience with HTML, CSS, and a modern JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
- Preferred knowledge of model governance, data governance, internal platforms, or developer-experience tooling for machine learning delivery and operations.
