Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop software systems that meet mission criteria and requirements.
  • Create systems and services for satellite telemetry ingestion, processing, visualization, monitoring, anomaly detection, trend analysis, and alerting.
  • Ensure high reliability, uptime, performance, scalability, and availability for telemetry systems serving thousands of endpoints.
  • Collaborate with team members to build the foundation of the Amazon Leo software organization.
  • Help onboard new team members.
  • Use AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly available software services.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience in software design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, lawfully admitted refugee, or person granted asylum due to applicable export control laws and regulations.
