Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and oversee software solutions for highly complex technical projects.
- Create software specifications and lead technology roadmap processes and long-term technical planning.
- Lead and advise on software development lifecycle activities, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Develop next-generation technologies in collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
- Analyze competitor products, development strategies, and patents to support technical and intellectual property initiatives.
- Establish cross-team networks and coordinate efforts across organizational units.
- Serve as a technical expert, strategic consultant, spokesperson, and thought leader.
- Mentor senior engineers and management while fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 7+ years with an advanced degree.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Expertise in software architecture, system design, and scalable enterprise software solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of multiple programming languages, advanced software development methodologies, and adopting GenAI in the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and complete complex, high-impact projects.
- Strong strategic thinking, innovation, creativity, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience mentoring technical talent and engaging with senior leadership and external customers.
- Familiarity with intellectual property protection, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
