Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features across the Sezzle platform.
- Collaborate with engineers and feature owners to design, develop, and improve products.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions and contribute to code reviews.
- Mentor engineers who are beginning their careers.
- Plan, estimate, and complete projects with team stakeholders.
- Continuously build and deploy scalable solutions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development, with React experience preferred.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar compiled statically typed language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
