Responsibilities
- Engineer complex, multi-tiered distributed software systems.
- Design, implement, test, document, and diagram software solutions for technical and business requirements.
- Make code changes to enhance products, add features, resolve programming errors, and develop new products.
- Complete software changes according to project plans and keep current with development best practices.
- Develop Java/JEE applications, web user interfaces, REST APIs, and database-backed solutions.
- Perform frontend unit testing and troubleshoot software-related issues.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of Java development experience.
- At least 5 years of web frontend development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building large websites with HTML and CSS.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, common design patterns, REST API design, Java and JEE internals, relational databases, SQL, ORM technologies, JPA2, Hibernate, Spring MVC, React.js, responsive web design, and Git-based version control.
- Experience developing web applications with a popular web framework such as JSF, Wicket, GWT, or Spring MVC.
- Experience with frontend unit testing, Power Mockito, and test-driven development.
- Knowledge or experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, operational resilience, risk management, or a related discipline.
- Preferred qualifications include understanding of web, usability, and accessibility standards; familiarity with Ant build processes; and strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and multitasking abilities.
