Responsibilities
- Develop and improve cross-platform mobile applications connected to PlayStation consoles and other platforms.
- Build social features, real-time functionality, and features designed for large-scale users.
- Participate throughout the development lifecycle, from technical investigation and architecture design through implementation, testing, and operational improvement.
- Contribute to technical decisions such as framework selection, UI design, state management, and shared application infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and teams in Japan and overseas to improve the user experience.
- Potentially develop related mobile applications in addition to the PlayStation App.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in one or more of Android development with Kotlin or Java, iOS development with Swift or Objective-C, or cross-platform development with React Native or Flutter; experience is treated as a guideline and may be assessed flexibly based on skills and motivation.
- Experience developing applications integrated with backend APIs is preferred.
- Team-based software development experience is preferred.
- React Native or JavaScript/TypeScript development experience is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in UI design and state management is preferred.
- Experience developing products using an Agile process is preferred.
- C or C++ development experience for native processing or performance improvements is preferred.
- Business-level Japanese equivalent to JLPT N1 or higher is required.
- Willingness to communicate in English through text and meetings with overseas teams is required; advanced English proficiency is not currently mandatory.
