Responsibilities
- Own Joko’s production infrastructure end-to-end, including resilience, capacity, cost, and scalability.
- Build observability through centralized logs, alerts, health standards, and a sustainable on-call experience.
- Improve infrastructure security through access management, secrets handling, compliance work, and release hardening.
- Improve engineering workflows, testing, releases, automation, developer productivity, and release quality.
- Develop AI-powered internal automation, agents, and tooling.
- Define the platform roadmap, align stakeholders, lead cross-team initiatives, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with significant platform, infrastructure, or reliability experience at scale.
- Experience operating and evolving production systems with observability, incident response, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Experience improving CI/CD, releases, automation, tooling, developer productivity, and feedback loops.
- Strong ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code and contribute directly to the codebase.
- Ability to balance reliability, latency, performance, and cloud costs in architectural decisions.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security fundamentals, including permissions, IAM, secrets, least privilege, and hardening.
- Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure; familiarity with infrastructure as code and modern deployment patterns is a plus.
- Product-minded approach with attention to user experience, performance metrics, and real-world usage at scale.
- Ability to work pragmatically in complex, evolving codebases and collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders.
- Fluent written and spoken English; French is not required.
