Base Salary
$150k - $284k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, design, and develop complex software features for next-generation Ford electric vehicles.
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and integration teams on requirements, functional test cases, and software validation.
- Lead diagnosis and improvement of existing vehicle software features to enhance customer experience.
- Develop tooling and diagnostic interfaces between vehicle access components.
- Integrate software features into controller codebases.
- Use data-driven analysis tools to verify and diagnose vehicle software in the field.
- Collaborate across software, hardware, integration, and UI/UX teams throughout the product development cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience with embedded systems.
- Programming experience in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with real-time operating systems, Linux, and concurrent systems.
- Strong documentation, writing, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, automotive and wireless networking experience, automotive systems knowledge, Vector and Intrepid tools, MISRA, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, vendor negotiation, and Yocto Linux experience.
