Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Drive front-end architecture decisions and define the long-term technical vision for the platform.
- Design scalable, maintainable, reusable UI systems, component systems, frameworks, and application patterns.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams and systems.
- Identify and reduce technical debt across shared front-end infrastructure.
- Define front-end engineering standards, best practices, guidelines, and consistent approaches across teams.
- Improve application reliability, observability, accessibility, performance, maintainability, and platform-wide UX.
- Improve shared tooling, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, local development, review environments, and developer workflows.
- Write production code in React and TypeScript and provide high-quality code reviews and technical feedback.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers on planning, roadmaps, architecture reviews, and implementation challenges.
- Mentor engineers across multiple teams and influence technical strategy, engineering culture, and development practices.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership and help develop future technical leaders and architects.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building modern web applications used in production at scale.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and application design.
- Experience leading large technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Experience designing reusable component systems and scalable UI patterns.
- Strong knowledge of application state management, asynchronous data flows, and API integration patterns.
- Experience improving front-end performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across front-end and full-stack systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-moving, collaborative environments with evolving priorities.
- Preferred: experience with platforms, frameworks, shared engineering infrastructure, GraphQL, modern API-driven architectures, monorepos, modern build systems and tooling, cloud-native environments, AWS, Datadog, Product Design, Design Systems, startup environments, cybersecurity or offensive security, and AI-assisted development workflows.
