Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop technologies for modern control room environments.
- Support the design and development of controls and HMI platforms for reliable power plant operations.
- Design and prototype control-system interfaces using simulation tools.
- Implement security controls and best practices for operational technology systems.
- Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback to improve controls, platform design, and security.
- Create documentation, templates, and standards supporting customer operations.
- Explore advanced technologies and evaluate computing technologies for generative-AI control-system features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another STEM major.
- 0–1 year of related engineering or STEM experience.
- Desired experience includes HMI design, computer programming, computer platforms, network devices, or cybersecurity.
- Interest in control systems, user-interface design, operating systems, hypervisors, network architecture, network devices, cybersecurity, compliance, or security-control implementation.
- Awareness of large and small language AI models and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with zero-trust cybersecurity principles, industrial protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA, SCADA systems, switches, firewalls, design tools, and security-control principles.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
