Responsibilities
- Own testing for the humanoid operator console, including frontend behavior, API contracts, edge cases, and user-facing workflows.
- Test inference servers and model-serving infrastructure for latency, throughput, failover, and version rollouts.
- Validate backend services and APIs, including authentication, data pipelines, telemetry, fleet management, contract testing, and integration testing.
- Design and implement automated test suites running in CI/CD and expand coverage as the platform grows.
- Define testing methods, quality criteria, metrics, and the broader software platform testing strategy.
- Document tests in the test tracking system and maintain accurate internal documentation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, with strong experience testing client-server systems across frontend, backend, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of testing theory and test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, and state-based testing.
- Hands-on Python experience for test automation and familiarity with an API testing framework such as pytest with requests or an equivalent.
- Comfort operating in Linux environments and interacting with services through the terminal.
- Experience with Git and understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
- Experience with a test management or task tracking system such as Jira or TestRail.
- Preferred qualifications include frontend automation with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress; performance testing with k6, Locust, or JMeter; Docker and basic Kubernetes; ML model-serving infrastructure such as Triton or TorchServe; another language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++; and awareness of robotics software stacks.
