Base Salary
$170k - $276k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build systems that deploy, release, and operate Docker’s enterprise agentic platform using Go and Kubernetes.
- Ensure consistent platform operation across cloud providers and environments with enterprise security, identity, and network boundaries.
- Own the release and software supply chain path so deployments are reproducible, verifiable, and trusted.
- Operate production systems through on-call, SLOs, incident response, and operational tooling.
- Set technical direction with architecture and engineering leadership and collaborate with runtime, developer experience, identity, and observability teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, testing discipline, mentorship, and team growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in infrastructure, platform, or cloud services.
- Experience building and operating production cloud control and management planes for multiple tenants or environments.
- Hands-on Kubernetes expertise beyond deployment, including controllers, operators, reconciliation, and CRDs.
- Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud covering compute, networking, identity, and managed services.
- Production ownership experience including on-call, incident response, SLOs, and post-mortems.
- Experience designing distributed systems with fault tolerance, consistency, observability, and idempotent reconciliation.
- Professional proficiency in Go.
- Strongly preferred: Kubernetes resource orchestration and cloud controllers such as KRO.
- Strongly preferred: release engineering and software supply chain experience involving OCI registries, digests, and license compliance.
- Strongly preferred: private connectivity between cloud accounts, including PrivateLink, VPC peering, service endpoints, and egress policy.
- Strongly preferred: OpenTelemetry pipelines with multiple destinations, managed services, or isolated execution environments such as Firecracker and microVMs.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is strongly preferred.
