Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making processes.
- Map Everpure and ecosystem technology solutions to measurable customer outcomes.
- Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to drive revenue growth and new business.
- Serve as the technical expert during sales engagements and communicate the advantages of Everpure solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and domain expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings.
- Lead evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, and performance validation.
- Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts.
- Capture requirements and translate business needs into innovative technical solutions.
- Author and lead responses to RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.
- Support roadmap exchanges, alliance planning, technical marketing materials, and competitive positioning.
- Promote thought leadership regarding market trends and the competitive landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in computer science, electrical engineering, another technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Pre-sales experience is required.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
- Preferred experience selling enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
- Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture, LAMP, scale-out and scale-up architectures, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices.
- Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Strong knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
- Knowledge of cloud-native transformation, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
- Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed Linux network environments.
- Experience installing or configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory, cache, and windowing systems.
- Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Knowledge of storage-intensive applications and structured databases such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills, curiosity, creativity, empathy, and a passion for explaining technology to customers.
