Base Salary

$99k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement observability, automation, incident response, and operational best practices across cloud and air-gapped environments.
  • Lead root cause analysis, capacity planning, reliability standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and support reliable systems and platforms while evaluating their health, stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Develop technical tools in Python to debug application deployment and platform issues.
  • Partner with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to improve system resilience and reduce operational risk.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and operate Kubernetes and related infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • 8+ years of experience with Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals within AWS.
  • Experience with Python scripting and automation, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, and operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience, or 12+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
  • Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC certification within six months of starting.
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, AWS CloudWatch, AWS EKS, Rancher, SRE practices, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Nessus, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred.
  • Preferred knowledge includes distributed systems, microservices architectures, containerized workloads, NIST 800-53, and NIST-190.
  • A relevant master’s degree or an approved security certification is preferred.
