Responsibilities
- Own the attestation architecture for the Apple Silicon server platform.
- Develop and maintain system software including kernel drivers, runtime libraries, frameworks, and daemons.
- Bring new chassis designs into the attestation system from manufacturing through production.
- Define component measurements, manufacturing-time identity sealing, and post-deployment verification.
- Build services that determine whether machines across data centers are in a known good state and detect security drift.
- Work with security, system software, platform design, SOC architecture, manufacturing, data center operations, and cloud services teams.
- Design controls that resist remote attacks and physical tampering with data center hardware.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience developing and maintaining security-critical codebases.
- Understanding of applied cryptography, cryptography hardware, and key management, including PKI and HSM-backed certificate issuance.
- Experience with mutual authentication and hardware-based attestation, including Secure Boot, firmware measurement, and challenge-response protocols.
- Strong understanding of hardware/software interactions and low-level software.
- Preferred: experience defining and designing secure embedded systems and bringing hardware platforms from manufacturing into production.
- Preferred: experience with server component firmware, ARM SoC architecture, baseboard management controllers, system-management microcontrollers, and power delivery.
- Preferred: understanding of security exploit types targeting low-level systems, including physical and insider attacks on data center hardware.
- Preferred: experience building and operating production services that verify security posture across large fleets and detect drift over time.
- Preferred: experience with Swift, Objective-C, and Apple development tools.
