Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable brokerage systems for the Japan market.
- Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices and APIs.
- Collaborate with core teams to support multiple languages and currencies.
- Coordinate with local regulators and vendors, translating requirements into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot incidents and maintain system integrity and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotations during Japan business hours.
Requirements
- Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and business-level English.
- Proven experience in designing complex financial systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and transaction reconciliation.
- Experience in building scalable financial applications for multi-currency transactions.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial markets, preferably in Japan.
- Proficiency in at least one statically typed programming language.
