Responsibilities
- Own software projects end-to-end and contribute throughout the product life cycle.
- Develop new and existing database engine projects deployed to production with each release.
- Improve SingleStore cluster fault tolerance and accelerate SQL query performance using techniques such as SIMD and LLVM code generation.
- Write search and costing modules for the query optimizer.
- Explore technologies including LLMs and vector indexes, and write and test software.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, especially operating systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architectures.
- Strong programming skills in C++ or C.
- Passion for building highly reliable software.
- Firm grasp of algorithms and data structures.
