Responsibilities

  • Build classifiers and data pipelines to detect misuse and manage the process from automated evaluation through model iteration.
  • Develop cross-context monitoring and signal aggregation systems to detect coordinated harms and large-scale attack vectors.
  • Implement semi-automated account-level response systems that detect and respond to persistent malicious actors using production traffic signals.
  • Evaluate and secure agentic AI systems through threat modeling, testing environments, and mitigations against agentic hacking and long-horizon attacks.
  • Advance automated red-teaming and adversarial robustness research using multi-turn and agentic attacks to identify misuse vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five years of software development experience, including Python.
  • Experience with the research-to-deployment pipeline in a frontier AI environment.
  • Experience working in a software engineering or research team.
  • Preferred experience with cybersecurity detection and response, classifiers and anomaly detection at scale, and deploying safety mitigations to production.
  • Preferred experience leading or collaborating on applied ML projects involving LLM training, inference, and fine-tuning.
  • Preferred experience using AI coding agents, TPUs, and JAX.
  • Preferred background in adversarial machine learning, automated red-teaming, model interpretability, or probes.
  • Preferred knowledge of AI control, chain-of-thought monitoring, faithfulness, monitorability, and related frontier safety research.
