Responsibilities
- Own technical design and execution for major products, systems, and engineering initiatives.
- Design scalable and reliable systems spanning backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Write code, prototype solutions, conduct code reviews, debug issues, and solve production problems.
- Drive architecture decisions and trade-offs involving speed, scalability, reliability, cost, and maintainability.
- Translate ambiguous product problems into technical solutions and execution plans.
- Lead critical engineering initiatives and mentor engineers across teams.
- Improve engineering quality through system design, testing, security, observability, and development practices.
Requirements
- Have 7+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
- Have strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems.
- Possess strong coding ability and willingness to remain hands-on.
- Show a track record of technically leading major engineering projects from design through production.
- Make sound technical trade-offs, influence engineers, and solve complex production problems.
- Strong English communication is required.
- Experience scaling engineering teams, systems, or development practices through significant growth is preferred.
- Experience working across multiple products, markets, or countries is preferred.
