Responsibilities
- Lead technical designs for complex application platforms, optimizing security, integration, performance, availability, information reuse, and maintainability.
- Consult with Solution Architects, Lead Architects, project teams, analysts, and business stakeholders to create and document technical designs and align solutions with business needs.
- Oversee or contribute to planning, development, estimation, implementation, administration, and technical review of solutions and vendor integrations.
- Support architecture governance by providing design specifications, enforcing technical standards, and offering guidance on IT policies, security, and infrastructure.
- Identify process improvements, eliminate redundancies, maximize application reuse, and help teams adopt effective technology and methodology practices.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies, techniques, and tools that provide organizational value.
- Provide technical training, coaching, mentorship, design review, and quality assurance for other employees.
- Build strong business relationships, provide technical consultation and customer service, and help stakeholders reach consensus and take action.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or direct and applicable work experience.
- At least 7 years of experience, including development experience with technologies such as Angular 2 or newer, NodeJS or newer, TypeScript, C#, .NET, Java, or SQL.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, architecture design, or operations.
- Experience providing innovative solutions to complex issues, designing technical architecture, troubleshooting, and evaluating solution alternatives and risks.
- Informal leadership experience gained through leading projects, plus demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
- Experience consulting with stakeholders, providing advice and counsel, communicating clearly, and guiding individuals or groups toward decisions and outcomes.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree, experience in an Agile team environment, leadership demonstrated through delivery work and informal leadership, and experience partnering with global staffing vendors on implementations and product value.
