Responsibilities
- Develop and update MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow models for BCM application software and automotive body-electronics features.
- Implement control logic, state machines, reusable subsystems, signal routing, model interfaces, and assigned model components.
- Support BCM functions including lighting, wipers, washers, central locking, power windows, mirrors, horns, and body access.
- Perform model simulation, basic debugging, unit checks, and functional verification using Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop environments.
- Support automatic code generation and coordinate with senior engineers on integration and issue analysis.
- Prepare model documentation, design notes, interface details, signal mappings, and verification evidence.
- Follow modeling guidelines, naming conventions, configuration-management practices, and customer-specific engineering expectations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience is required; the professional profile specifies 3–5 years in automotive embedded software, MATLAB/Simulink model-based development, or control software development.
- Working experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, model development, model simulation, and basic model debugging.
- Understanding of automotive ECU software development, preferably in BCM, body electronics, chassis, powertrain, ADAS, or similar vehicle domains.
- Knowledge of Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, unit checks, simulation-based verification, and requirements-based implementation.
- Familiarity with automatic code generation, Embedded Coder, TargetLink, MISRA C expectations, and generated-code integration is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communication concepts, vehicle signals, and signal databases.
- Exposure to requirements management, configuration management, defect lifecycles, and tools including JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Polarion, Git, or SVN.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related stream, with 15 years of full-time education.
