Base Salary
$235k - $414k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale machine learning models and systems that detect harmful content and bad actors, support content moderation, and promote a healthy content ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to set ML strategy, understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver solutions.
- Design, train, and optimize advanced ML models and improve the performance and capabilities of the ML technology stack.
- Apply best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Provide technical direction and influence the broader ML community while leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring others.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 9 years of post-bachelor's machine learning experience, or a master's degree with at least 8 years of post-graduate ML experience, or a PhD with at least 5 years of post-graduate ML experience.
- At least 2 years of technical leadership experience or experience acting as a domain expert to a technical organization.
- Experience developing and shipping performant, scalable machine learning models.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or related deep learning frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and LLM/VLM approaches and algorithms.
- Preferred experience in online safety, Trust and Safety, Content Moderation, Content Quality, multimodal models, LLMs/VLMs, behavioral signals, executive collaboration, distributed organizations, and AI publications.
