Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered features for patient engagement, care coordination, claims management, and operational efficiency.
- Use Claude Code and related AI development tools to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain full-stack software products.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, user-focused solutions.
- Develop APIs, backend services, automation pipelines, and LLM integrations for intelligent product capabilities.
- Apply software engineering, DevOps, and MLOps practices to testing, deployment, monitoring, security, and performance optimization.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and implementation approaches to improve product functionality and engineering workflows.
- Support additional team and project responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or full-stack application development.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Claude Code to implement features, debug code, and validate functional software products.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or comparable programming languages, including frontend, backend, and API development.
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs through APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents, generative AI workflows, or retrieval augmented generation.
- Ability to review AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and test coverage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work independently in a remote Agile environment.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Cursor, Codex, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or AI orchestration frameworks.
- Experience developing deployed AI applications or supporting healthcare, payer/provider, federal government, or Department of Veterans Affairs technology initiatives.
- U.S. citizenship is required; candidates must complete a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including fingerprinting when required.
