Responsibilities
- Create and maintain ETL pipelines that process feed files and produce transformed financial symbology data.
- Develop timely reports reflecting changes from data update processes.
- Build and maintain web tools and GUI capabilities that support data integrity and management.
- Collaborate with product developers, internal teams, clients, and Symbology teams in the US and London on integrations and enhancements.
- Design, query, and optimize SQL Server databases and contribute to large-scale projects and products.
- Participate in daily on-call rotations by monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and triaging data or pipeline incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of industry experience for experienced hires.
- Advanced, non-negotiable proficiency in Perl and Python.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server for database design, querying, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience leading or contributing to large-scale projects and products.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Collaborative, proactive problem-solving approach and comfort responding calmly to on-call incidents.
- Preferred qualifications include REST API experience with Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks; frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js; secure coding and OWASP familiarity; data security and access-control knowledge; vulnerability scanning or security-aware CI/CD experience; AWS and infrastructure-as-code experience; and experience with GitHub Copilot or Anthropic Claude.
